Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1958, been on stage since the age of six. Her mother was a photo model and her father a conductor, composer, pianist, singer, arranger, music producer and founding member of The Cariocas, the group that launched Bossa Nova. Schooled in theater at Tablado, she geared her career towards television, which in Brazil enjoys far more popularity than cinema as an entertainment medium.
