Lorrisa graduated in 2003 with an Interdisciplinary degree (B.A. Film/Theatre) from Columbia College Chicago as their youngest graduate of record. Her plays were first published by Bakers Plays, an imprint of Samuel French, Inc., in 2002. In 2003, Lorrisa began working as a professional actor in the Chicago TV/film scene when she was signed by several agencies. In 2008, she began filming motion capture for Midway Games and later Netherrealm Studios, WB's fighting game studio in Chicago. She joined SAG-AFTRA in 2009.
