Born in Miami, Florida to Juan Carlos Peralta and Greta Jacobson; Loreto is the granddaughter of the Mexican billionaire Carlos Peralta.
She began acting from an early age and made her television debut at age 9. In 2015 she was due to star in a remake of Poltergeist, but decided against it so as not to incur the stigma or curse that often accompanies young female leads from the original and films of its kind.
In 2012 Eugenio Derbez discovered her after posting a call on Twitter. He was looking for a blond girl with green eyes who spoke English and Spanish, for a movie (Refunds are not accepted).
