Udo Kier (born Udo Kierspe;14 October 1944) is a German actor who has appeared in more than 200 European and American films.
One of the most important films in his early career was Flesh For Frankenstein in 1973 (also known as "Andy Warhol's Frankenstein").
He has worked with Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Walerian Borowczyk, Dario Argento and starred in many horror and vampire movies. He has appeared in several of Lars von Trier's movies.
A documentary on his life and career entitled "ICH-UDO" ("Just Me, Udo") was filmed for German television, and released in 2012.
