Sandra D "Sandy" Olsson is one of the main characters in Grease.
Sandy and her family moved to America from Sydney, Australia, after summer vacation. She is the girlfriend of the popular greaser Danny Zuko. She is also cousin to Michael Carrington (from Grease 2). Even though she didn't become a member of the Pink Ladies, as Rizzo, the leader, thought she was "too pure to be pink," at the end of the movie she is accepted as a female greaser.
Sandy is portrayed by the late Olivia Newton-John in the 1978 film, by Julianne Hough in the 2016 live performance and later on by Danielle Hope in the 2017 UK performance and by Skye Hunt in the 2017 Options Theatre Company performance (alongside her co-star and singer, Nathan Parker whom played Hunt's love interest).
