011. Just letting Gandalf die - In the "You shall not pass!" scene where Gandalf is dragged by the whip, he is hanging onto the side of the cliff. The problem here is that the others had the chance to save him. Hell, Frodo was the only one who tried, but they held him back. in the 1978 animated version, it makes more sense; he was dragged down but didn't grab the cliff in time. The only justification the Nostalgia Critic gave was it lead to the awesome intro in the Two Towers, even though it didn't made sense on the fact they landed in a lake but landed on top of a mountain.

010. Those Bajillion Endings - Even though the third act is wrapping the trilogy, the major complaint are the fake outs that seems to go on forever. (Notably fake outs would be 1) both Frodo and Sam on the volcano 2) both being reunited 3) Ending from a zoom out of the Shire). However, even though there were too many, Nostalgia Critic actually praised them.

009. Gimi's Idiot Moments - Critic stated that in the first film, he is shown to be a honorable dignified character and had his bad ass moments throughout the films. However, as the trilogy progressed, he became more a comic relief, such when protecting the castle in The Tower Towers, he couldn't see and stating "could've picked a better spot." He also some knowledge the reason his race exist is to be chuckled at by other races. Because of all this, we just had to wait until The Hobbit: An Expected Journey to come out to see a more dignified dwarf character.

008. Legolas' perfect moments - Although started as an experience warrior in the first film, you wonder why he just fight his war himself. Such as while his comrades try to fight off enemies on the ground, Legolas can actually bring down a five story elephant.

007. Those Close-ups Shots - Even though many films back then felt they needed to get many close-ups and would've fine if it's set for an uncomfortable mood, but many filmmakers start use them just to be artsy. Although the shots were toned down by the last two films, they were overly used in the first film, even though some of the shots were used well, most notably in the Prancing Pony scene where Frodo is about to put on the ring for the first time.

006. Denethor - Just Denethor. Nostalgia Critic explained that even though he understand that fans see him as a Shakespearean tragedy for used to be a ruler with dignity but lost all of his honor, to which the filmmakers may tried to get across, but his constant personality from being a total jerk to a nutball gets in way. The only time he seems sympathetic was when he finds out the death of his son, Boromir, and when Pippin offers his service and he accept.

005. I'm Not Dead - The Critic complains that there are too many fake out deaths. Notable believing Gandalf dies in the first film, both Pippin and Merry in the second and Frodo in the third. He also complains that the members of the Fellowship is still living while Boromir dies, mainly because Sean Bean has in his contract, that he dies in every film he is in and must stay dead.

004. Arwen's Life is Now Tied to the Fate of the Ring - Although many of the heroes are male, to which one of the women had to pretend to be male to fight, Arwen's role definitely expanded by getting into more action scenes. However, when Aragorn is told that Arwen is dying, mainly because when Sauron getting stronger, Arwen, who gave up her immortality, is getting weaker. Although it might be more an explaination in the book series, but this was a new scene and it never fully explained. However, think this is probably give Aragorn more reason to fight for.

003 Sam and Frodo's Gayness - Throughout the film series, despite Tolkien wanting the portrayal of both Sam and Frodo having a strong friendship, their friendship comes off as a gay relationship. Critic explained that it would've been cool of both characters were the first two openly gay characters in fantasy (while making a joke about He-Man being homoerotic).

002. Saru...who? - Saruman, one of the main villains in the first film, never appeared in the later two, do to time, However, Saruman's death was appeared only the second scene of Return of the King and lasts only for two minutes and could've been used to cover any loose ends.

001. Those Eagles That Could've Stopped Everything - The Critic, as well everyone the world, considers this the dumbest thing in the entire franchise, which leads to the question: Why don't they just fly over to Mt. Doom and drop the ring off themselves? Hell, Gandalf several times realizes that their strategy was bad. Of course there excuses:

Excuse: They're eagles and don't want to get involved in our affairs.
Logic:They gotten involved three times (the third being in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey)

Excuse: They wouldn't get very far and the evils of Mordor are too great
Logic: They actually made it to the gate and can fight pretty well.

Excuse: Much like Gandalf, they were to be attempted to use the ring for themselves and turn evil.
Logic: It would take two hours to just to destroy the ring. If Frodo can resist it for days, the eagles can resist in a short amount of time.

Exucse: They stick out too much; a sneak attack is more plausible.
Logic: Both Sam and Frodo gets capture way too many times on their journey. Plus, it's taking days for them to get their location. During that time, many innocent lives are probably being lost.

Because of this, many fans complain about it. Even the web series, "How It Should've Ended", gave their take on this.
