Final Fantasy Versus XIII - PlayStation 3

Final Fantasy versus XIII. How sad it is that you made it into this list... anyawy, let's talk this game.
It was revealed along with FF XIII and a PSP game (FF XIII Agito? I just can't remember... or care).
There is lots of footage about it. Gameplay that show a combat style similar in many ways to Kingdom Hearts, and breathtaking pre-rendered cutscenes...
But, it's been a long while since any new info surfaced about this one.
Final Fantasy XIII did hit the shelves in 2010 and the PSP game also made it's public appearance already. We even got ourselves a side story on Final Fantasy XIII-2 and soon there will be Final Fantasy XIII Lighning Returns, and yet no versus.
This one fought versus the odds of being canned, and lost, it seems.

Highlander - PC Games

Movie tie-ins... they're what makes video game industry grand, aren't they? No? Well... but surely making such a game based on a movie that just came to theaters (in the 80's...) sounds like a good idea. Nope too?
Well, don't worry, they did take the head of this one out. There can only be one, and it seems that Highlander wasn't cut for it...

InSane - PlayStation 3

After it's initial reveal, which consisted of a video basically showing us the game logo, nothing was told about this game.
It was cancelled by it's producer before we could know if we should mourn this game's demise or not.

This one does have (had?) promise. After a long pause on any news about this game, in 2012 the gaming industry was shocked by the reveal that this game's name would become Mars War Logs.
After that, it fell in obscurity again. No... that's not right. This game is obscure in it's own right... it fell in absolute obscurity, with the oficial homepage being put down for months (Maybe the game was also "put down" in a mercifully, silent way?).

The gameplay reminded Grand Theft Auto (A PS2 GTA, mind you). Since than... nothing. Ride to Hell seems to have reached it's destination.

Just to be crystal clear though, games "Missing in Action" won't be limited to those that were publicly called clinically dead by their developers, but will also feature games that have been for such a long time in developement hell without any news after their reveal (or since last oficial update) that they might just be considered goners.
