The Many Faces of Michael Landon

Michael Landon was born Eugene Maurice Orowitz October 31, 1936 in Queens, New York. He chose his stage name randomly out of a telephone directory. In April of 1991, Landon was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which then quickly spread to his liver. Michael Landon died July 1, 1991 after a four month battle with the illness.
