Sex Pistols was the fuel for my fire when I found out about punk. I can't remember how I got to know about these guys but damn they were something so new to me. And the whole punk thing was so cool. I became such an anarchist, with all the do-it-yourself piercings, mohawk and pins in my ears. I was going from 5th to 6th grade and everybody at my school were so shocked :D Later, I calmed down a bit but I still believe in punk. The real message of punk, not the clothes and the piercings, but the ATTITUDE.
I discovered MM at the same time as Sex Pistols. So he was also a part of my anarchist times (not that it ever really ended ;D). I read his book and was amazed. His music has been pretty much the most important music to me than anyone else's. I even got the chance to go to his gig in 2007. He is still big part of my life. I looove his music and his courage. Even though he is not at the top of his career anymore, I respect him and remember the good times of Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals.
Another favorite from my childhood. Once again my brother was a Eminem fan but when he got tired of him, I got the cd The Eminem Show from him. What an album that was. I just remember it so clearly, when me and my cousin listened to it all the time. And to this day I've been almost like addicted to eminem and his music. He's so talented and raw. He will surely be remembered.
I grew up listening to Michael Jackson because my brother was a huge fan. Even though MJ was slowly going down with his career at the time I was born, it was a big thing to me back then. I remember listening to smooth criminal and they don't care about us with my brother. I remember those two song very clearly from my childhood. I've always loved his songs and I probably will never stop loving them. He was, and still is a legend.
JD's movies were pretty much the first movies I reallyreallyreally loved. I really found my love for movies because of Johnny Depp. The movie Edward Scissorhands was very important to me. I still do like his movies and he's one of my favorite actors. But the whole world is suffering from Deppmania and I don't feel that I'm part of it. And the latest movies have been quite disappointing.
Another important figure in my life when I discovered the amazing world of movies. It all began a few years ago when it was midnight and I couldn't sleep. So of course I turned on the tv and I see this weird black and white show. The show was Alfred Hitchcock presents. I was totally blown by that show. So I watched it almost every night during the summer. That's how I found out about Hitchcock. I love his movies and his style of making films. The Master of Suspense, definitely.
I love this band and especially the lead singer Frank Carter. He's a fucking prick. And that ginger hair...man he's something. He's like a little Johnny Rotten Jr. Gallows really brought back my memories of Sex Pistols so they're important to me too.
Gallows is pretty much the best punkband of 2000s.
