Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan

Hitachi Seaside Park is a public park located in Hitachinaka city, Ibaraki Prefecture, Kantō region of Honshu island, Japan.

Hitachinaka city is located slightly northeast of central Ibaraki Prefecture and east of the capital of Mito. It consists of a lowland area around the Naka River in the south and the Pacific coast in the east.

Hitachi Seaside Park covers an area of 190 hectares and this park features blooming flowers around the year. The park has become known for its Nemophila flowers nicknamed "baby blue-eyes" with the blooming of 4.5 million of the translucent-petaled blue flowers in the spring drawing tourists.

In addition to the annual "Nemophila Harmony (Nemophila Menziesii)" flowers, the park features a million daffodils, 170 varieties of tulips, and many other flowers. The park includes gentle cycling trails and nature treks and a small amusement park with a Ferris wheel.

It is one of the most amazing floral sights you will ever likely see. A sea of blue that emerges in late April to mid-May every year in the Japanese prefecture of Ibaraki. It is truly an Instagramer’s dream!
