In my opinion this was the stage setter of the NextGen rpg direction when linear storylines started to become a thing of the past, hands down one of the best games to grace the Final Fantasy title

The game that started my RPG career, after renting this once i was hooked

I started this at just the right time, i was beginning to tire of dragon warrior I-III i dont think IV had come out yet, so i gave this a try, needless to say i didnt play another dragon warrior game for about a decade
