Let Love In - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
10/10
Masterpiece of the entire Nick Cave career, entire alternative rock genre, art rock, even post-punk in general.
I can't even describe the impact of this LP in me. Just captures many of the things I love in this live.
And talking about love, this is the best album about love .

Soundtracks for the Blind - Swans
10/10
The most terryfing album I´ve heard in my life.
But in his dark , depressive and self-destructive soundscapes we can find moments of beautiness and epicness.
This record has a unique sound and it´s the peak of all sort of albums that can be described and considered “ experimental”
The perfection on the long, horrific and hellish experimental album of all time.

Long Season - Fishmans
Literally a long season in summer. This is the most positive thing I've ever heard. Gives me happiness.
Best 30 minute song of all time too.
Perfect mix of the textures of Neo-Psychedelia, ethereal and daydreaming touch of dream pop and the vibes and groovy rythym of dub. All at once.

In the Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson
9/10
Remove Moonchild and you have a the strongest 9 I rated.
But forget about the rate.
This album changed my point of view of music.
Let me explain myself. This album make me want to enter in a serious way If you can say it in the world of music.
For this album I discovered King Crimson, progressive rock and a general perspective of modern music and art.
When I heard the first note of saxophone in 21st Schizoid Man I thought I listened that song in some moment.
Instantly the chaotic sound of the song catch me.
Same with Epitaph and In The Court Of The Crimson King.
For the first time I thought: Damn, this is a really good album, like perfect for me.
It was so out of the box of what I thought was music that changed my life.

Tago Mago - Can
Nearly the best experimental album of all time.
This was extremely ahead of it's time. Bands like Swans, Boredoms, This Heat among many others were influenced by this legendary music act.
Whole genres like Industrial or Sound Collage indeed.
But all fill in the experimental umbrella term.
Oh my god. This never gets old. Still sounds deconstructive, beyond simple creativity and special.
But I won't repeat how seminal is this work of art called CAN and Tago Mago. Let's focus on the genre.
The masterful creation made by crazy germans brings to the scene the best krautrock that ever existed. There isn't a song I can pass. This tracklist is hipnoptic and drags your mind to get stuck in the complex, psychedelic and madness of the first notes in the guitar of Paperhouse.
With this song we have the whole concept and music intentions showed.
It's funny how an album so intricate that draws a path between psychedelia, pure experimentation- improvisation and prog is, at the same time, catchy.
And this is the reason Why Paperhouse works if you are a bit into music. Because it is that weird and unusual but accesible at the same time if you have been listening music for some time.
Mushroom is a total mesmerazing experience which takes you to an acid trip set in a crater caused by an atomic bomb.
Oh Yeah continues these psychedelic and weirdy sound. Not as perfect as the last song. Anyway, holds very well and continues the concept of the deranged mind of a person through the songs.
Halleluwah changes the direction of the sound in the whole album. Now the trip is more adventurous, unpredictable and crazy indeed. This track was made in the 70´s and sounds like the experimental rock bands of the 90´s-2000´s.
NSB and Swans in 90´s and 10´s sound were built in this song.
Aumgn proceed with the now, complete madness.
Totally uncanny and experimental. Slightly touches industrial and sound-collage inside this masterpiece of krautrock and music.
Peking O. starts to end the madness and Bring Me Coffee or Tea officially confirms it.
We have a teaser of the following CAN albums here. More in the Ege Bamyasi sound. In certain seconds has some epic leitmotifs hearded during the whole Side A.
So it´s the perfect finale for the type of album it is.

Rain Dogs - Tom Waits
9.8/10
I know, it´s a 10.
But I can skip one or two songs here so that´s that.
The most creative and unique album in all the history of singer-songwritting.
Take all that Tom Waits can do very good and you have the weirdest record in this genre. It´s a diamond in the dessert.

One of the most hypnotic ,tribal and mesmerazing albums I've ever heard. The longest too.

The Velvet Underground & Nico - The Velvet Underground, Nico
9.7/10
I can skip one or two but the rest are so historically important for modern music that you can´t figured out.
You have super early alternative, noise rock, punk and one of the earliest example of art rock and experimental rock.
That´s the great point here. Experimentation.
This guy played nearly every relevant genre of future decades way before this genres begin to expand.
But the songs are well structured. There´s some songs that are catchy and poppy. Then you have others that are very experimental and weird. But this sounds are 100 per cent balancend. So you have a bit of everything executed in a way that no one could ever done.
Thank you TVU.

Floating Into The Night - Julee Cruise
9.8/10
Oh my. This is a special one.
Before I watched Twin Peaks I saw this album in the highest rated of dream pop .
The cover catchs me because of the surreal and misterious thing.
I wasn´t prepared for the beautiful and cathartic music that resulted to be.
Is for this record that dream pop it´s one of my favorite genres. And you know why?
Because it´s exactly how dream pop needs to be: dreamy, ethereal, surreal, mysterious and maybe nocturnal.
The voice of Julee conducts everything. It's very basic in sound though. But I don't need more.
The production it's very different and different compare to other albums in the genre.
It has the same sound that made Angelo Badalamenti a famous composer for his surreal and day-dreaming songs with a nocturnal aurea .
You can feel in the Roadhouse or other lounge bar watching the performance of Julee.
Another thing. Jazz and dream pop it's a godly fusion.
The voice of her it's so powerful to me that feels me with melancholy and make me cry.
It's one of the beautiful sounds I've heard in the years I've been listening to music.
And for this reasons Julee it's my favorite women singer and practically my favorite singer.
To end, this is extremely underrated in the alternative genre spectrum .Even in dream pop.
Go and listen to this surreal and beautiful album.

Close to the Edge - Yes
9.7/10
Progressive rock is this album.
It has the epicness, long tracks, hyper complexity and technicity....
With 3 long as fuck songs we have one of the epic and beautiful albums that can exist.
Without any doubt the holy grail of the band and the reference for the rest of the 70's bands which want to get in the genre.
For me the And You And I eliminates the possibility to this album to be a 10.
Anyway, it's with In The Court Of The Crimson King and Selling England By The Pound the best album of the progressive rock.

Loveless - My Bloody Valentine
10/10
The perfect mix of the psychedelia in music.
Dream pop, Shoegaze, Noise Pop and you can say Neo-Psychedelia with any problems.
This album has one of the most expensive and special productions caused by all the engineering project on the sound.
And like I said, is the pop-rock-pschedelia-noise refined and all together to fit in in this master-mind work.
It´s the resume of the psychedelia in general.
And I loved it.

The perfect sound between metal and hardcore.
This is the true quality of the metalcore scene, the mathcore in the best way possible.
Every song here it´s pure missanthropy and sadness.
But the agressive one.

This happens when you reunite a group of musicians of the prog scene wanting to make a post-punk album.
Terrorific, very crude and experimental, tricky with crazy scales and other strange sounds that make the songs more dark and surreal.
