Video game development, like any other industry, has its rockstars; no one is more deserving of this label than Daisuke Ishiwatari because the man is quite literally a rockstar. Ishiwatari is a very accomplished composer and performer in the heavy metal genre, which he fully demonstrated in composing some of the best game soundtracks ever. In addition to the Guilty Gear soundtracks, he’s also worked on music for Blaz Blue and Hard Corps: Uprising. His deep love for music is also reflected in the various in-jokes and references to musicians and groups that permeate all of the Guilty Gear games.
