Daken: Dark Wolverine Empire - Marjorie Liu Daniel Way
Dark Wolverine, then the Wolverine Goes to Hell storyline, then Daken: Dark Wolverine. It's a great story all around, with great writers such as Marjorie Liu and Rob Williams.

It's a nice little moment with a lot of interconnected stories, with the preceding Villains United, The O.M.A.C. Project, Identity Crisis, Adam Strange (2005), Rann/Thannagar War and Day of Vengeance. A lot of good books also spiral out of these, like Checkmate, Secret Six, Shadowpact, Ion, 52 and Justice League of America (2006).
