Since I listed the British ones, I'm going to have a go at listing the American ones.
When I consider a children's programme, I look at those labelled either 'children's' or 'family' or both.
I looked on websites i.e. IMDB and Wikipedia and one of Channel 4's lists for research.
There are certain programmes I avoided placing on the list such as Family Guy (for its heavily graphic material) and Starsky and Hutch (due to its hard-hitting material).
