In this sequel Ripley continues to be stalked by a savage alien, after her escape pod crashes on a prison planet.
Genre: Action | Sci-Fi | ThrillerCast: Sigourney Weaver, Charles S. Dutton, Charles Dance, Paul McGann, Lance Henriksen, Pete Postlethwaite
Although the filming was overshadowed by chaos, conflicts with the studio and an unfinished script, the result is a decent movie. Although some fans of the series were let down by this entry, the talent and style of David Fincher already shines through. Alien³ is worth revisiting.

Seven (1995)
Two detectives, a rookie and a veteran, hunt a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as his modus operandi.
Genre: Crime | Drama | Mystery | ThrillerCast: Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin Spacey, R. Lee Ermey, Richerd Roundtree
After his experience on the set of Alien³ David Fincher swore never to make a movie again. That was until he read the script of Seven. After that, he immediately changed his opinion. Unfortunately he wrote the wrong draft of the script. The studio had already decided to make an action comedy out of this. Of course Fincher managed to convince the studio otherwise and the result is stunning. One of the most sinister movies ever created, Seven was a box office hit at its time. And it still remains one of the best (and shocking) movies of the 1990s.

Wealthy financier Nicholas Van Orton gets a strange birthday present from wayward brother Conrad: a live-action game that consumes his life.
Genre: Drama | Mystery | ThrillerCast: Michael Douglas, Sean Penn, Deborah Kara Unger, James Rebhorn, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Tommy Flanaghan
Although The Game is one of the weaker entries into David Fincher's filmography, it still is a great movie to watch. The viewer is soaked into the story of Nicholas Van Orton and it's easy to lose orientation in this labyrinth. There may be some plot holes. But this movie is a fun ride and absolutely worth watching.

Fight Club (1999)
An office employee and a soap salesman build a global organization to help vent male aggression.
Genre: Drama | Mystery | ThrillerCast: Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, Helena Bonham Carter, Meat Loaf, Zach Grenier, Jared Leto
I do not talk about Fight Club.

Panic Room (2002)
A woman and her teenage daughter become imprisoned in the panic room of their own house by 3 criminals.
Genre: ThrillerCast: Jodie Foster, Kristen Stewart, Forest Whitaker, Dwight Yoakam, Jared Leto, Patrick Bauchau
A small thriller with a top cast. The majority of this movie is set in only one house and most of the time you only see the five main characters. The performances of the actors help to built a very tense atmosphere, from the outstanding appearance by the young Kristin Stewart to the vicious show of Dwight Yoakam.

Zodiac (2007)
A San Francisco cartoonist becomes an amateur detective obsessed with tracking down the Zodiac killer.
Genre: Crime | Drama | History | Mystery | ThrillerCast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Chloë Sevigny, Anthony Edwards, John Carroll Lynch
One of the most underrated movies of the last years. Zodiac follows the real events of the San Francisco Chronicle cartoonist Robert Graysmith and his hunt for the Zodiac killer. The film pays close attention to detail and tries to build a true depiction of Graysmith's point of view. Although not widely popular when it came into cinemas, this movie managed to built a small but dedicated fanbase.

Tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences.
Genre: Drama | Fantasy | Mystery | RomanceCast: Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, Taraji P. Henson, Jared Harris, Jason Flemyng
Although the story of a man aging backwards may seem a little awkward at first, David Fincher managed to make a heartwarming movie out of it. Instead of showing the goofyness of a young doter or making a plea for eternal youth, Fincher decided to concentrate on showing the isolation of Benjamin. Although he finds good and true friends, Ben Button will always be different. And I guess many people can relate to that, even though they are no scifi freaks of nature themselves.

This is the first filmography I have put together here on listal. It was a fun thing to do, but also a lot of work. That's why there may be lists for other directors in the future... or not. I haven't made up my mind yet.
