Aimee Mann

Aimee Elizabeth Mann born September 8, 1960 in Richmond, Virginia, United States and is an American singer-songwriter.

First rising to prominence in the 1980s as the frontwoman of the new wave band 'Til Tuesday (famous for the MTV hit "Voices Carry"), she later established a highly successful, Grammy-winning solo career celebrated for her introspective lyrics and indie-folk sound.

She has released critically lauded solo albums, including Bachelor No. 2 and Mental Illness. She wrote the original soundtrack for Paul Thomas Anderson's 1999 film Magnolia, which earned her Academy Award and Grammy Award nominations for the song "Save Me" . She was named one of the "Top 10 Best Living Songwriters" by NPR alongside artists like Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen
