for a number of years I have said to friends and family, and in general conversation, I could care less about the lives "celebrities" and public figures lead.
the person I follow is the one I see on screen or hear on the radio. I DO NOT CARE to know about their personal lives. it may or may not have a bearing on the image we see when we are privileged to catch a performance.
that being said, when I mentioned to a (so-called) friend that I like Saffron Burrows her response was to inform me that "she likes women". the former friend was taken aback when I (unintentionally) lashed out at her and said in no uncertain terms that ms. burrows' sexual preference and personal life had ABSOLUTELY NO BEARING on my admiration for her.
what's my point? there really (and truly) isn't one. I am simply venting that it doesn't matter to me what one does behind closed doors or in the "privacy" of their lives. I llike what I see and it's for THAT I vote.
