In 2012 Giulia and Silvia Provvedi, at the age of 18, took part as musical duo in the auditions of the sixth talent show X Factor, broadcast on Sky Uno, presenting itself with the name Provs Destination. In 2012 Giulia and Silvia Provvedi, at the age of 18, took part as musical duo in the auditions of the sixth talent show X Factor, broadcast on Sky Uno, presenting itself with the name Provs Destination. After passing the various initial and preliminary stages of the broadcast, they are chosen as competitors of the program by joining the "Vocal Groups" category led by Judge Arisa, who changes the name of the duo to Donatella, in honor of Donatella Rettore, of which the twins are admirers: during the program they will then be eliminated halfway through, precisely at the 4th live show, with 54.70% of the votes.
In 2013, produced under Agidi contract and distributed by Sony Music Entertainment, they release their debut album Unpredictable on April 8th. The discs are respectively extracted, in order of release, the singles Fooled Again, Magic and Love Comes Quickly ( cover of the Pet Shop Boys), accompanied by their respective video clips. In the summer of the same year they duet with Juan Magán in the song Mal de amores, soundtrack of the commercial for Maxibon in rotation in Spain and Italy.
On September 19, 2014 they released a single sung in Italian entitled Scarpe Diem, in which for the first time they experience rap sounds. The song, born from a collaboration with Two Fingerz, sees the participation of rapper Fred De Palma.
From February 2 to March 23, 2015 participate as the sole competitor in the tenth edition of the reality show The Island of the Famous, broadcast on Channel 5, a program that wins with 68.38% preference for televoting, beating the French model Brice Martinet, which ranks second. Following the victory of the program they begin a tour of DJ sets in the discos and participate as guests in various television programs, including Grand Hotel Chiambretti, Colorado and Caduta libera !. On May 8, they released the single Donatella, produced by DJs Tommy Vee and Mauro Ferrucci, cover of the homonymous 1981 song by Donatella Rettore, who appreciated the project by taking part in the creation of the single with a vocal participation. The official music video of the song is released three days later, on May 11th. On June 7th the music video of Vamonos is released, a single from the dance group Il Pagante, in which the Donatellas appear in a cameo in the initial scenes. Throughout the summer of 2015 and in the following months they continue to perform in discos and events with the DJ Set Tour.
In October they pose without veils, photographed by Fabrizio Corona, for the Italian edition of the famous Playboy magazine. On November 20, 2015 they release the single Baby Bastard Inside, accompanied by the related video clip published on YouTube the following day. The following 18 December published the Christmas single Vivere, the proceeds of which were entirely donated to charity at the Terre des hommes organization. In the summer of 2016 they make their debut as television presenters presenting Italian Pro Surfer, a talent show on surfing broadcast in late evening on Italia 1.
In 2018 they returned to television participating as competitors in two television programs: in the first months of the year they took part in the second dance talent show Dance Dance Dance, broadcast on Fox Life, finishing second; in autumn they participate in the third edition of the Big Brother VIP reality show, broadcast on Canale 5, where Giulia and Silvia are ranked ninth and third respectively. In the summer of the same year they recorded the song Caliente, included in the Papeete Beach Compilation Vol. 29. compilation. On May 8th 2019 they released a new single produced by Big Fish entitled Scusami ma esco.
In 2019 they are in the cast of the show All Together Now conducted by Michelle Hunziker on Canale 5.
