Born in Johnstone, Scotland, Lauren began acting in local theatre at the age of 6, in productions including Les Miserables and Annie. When she turned 11, she began training part-time at GAMTA; a performance school in Glasgow where she trained in Acting, Singing and Dance. Lauren booked her first film role in short film 'Bird' in 2011, for which she was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA New Talent Award. At the age of 16, Lauren successfully gained a place on the BA Acting course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was awarded the BAFTA Scholarship for Acting during her training there. Over the years Lauren has appeared in roles across both stage and screen, some credits include; feature film 'ZERO', 'The Wolves' European premiere in London, 'His Dark Materials 3' and 'Hogwarts Legacy'.
