Regarded as one of the best young actresses of her generation, 'Lacey Chabert' started in drama and music performances in and around her hometown in Mississippi from an early age and was a finalist on Star Search (1983).

Chabert has been on a few television series, notably Party of Five (1994) and a number of telemovies like Gypsy (1993). She has also been in a few Hallmark movies Elevator Girl and Matchmaker Santa.

In film she appeared in Lost in Space (1998), Not Another Teen Movie (2001), Daddy Day Care (2003), and as Gretchen Wieners in the movie Mean Girls (2004).

Chabert, along with 'Lindsay Lohan', 'Rachel McAdams', and 'Amanda Seyfried', won the 2005 MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Team for Mean Girls. She won both the 1997 and 1998 Hollywood Reporter Annual YoungStar Award for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama TV Series for Party of Five and had been nominated three other times for work from 1999–2000. The YoungStar awards honor the best film, TV and music performances made exclusively by six to eighteen-year-olds.

Known for her natural acting skills and charming personality, her cotton candy voice has seen her record many advertising jingles, plus play parts in animated films and TV shows like Nickelodeon's The Wild Thornberrys (1998). She also provided the voice for Aleu in Balto 2: Wolf Quest (2002)

In 2007, Chabert starred in the pilot episode of the Fox comedy The Hot Years, which revolved around the lives of four female friends who live together. The pilot was not ordered to series by Fox. Chabert was featured as cover girl of the January 2007 issue of Maxim.

A more than capable violinist, she enjoys various activities, especially shoe shopping, and she is particularly fond of Cajun cooking. As a result of her promising career, her family, including two sisters and a brother, have moved from Mississippi to California. ... (more)
