Kiara Romero was born in Queens, New York to her Colombian mother, Tatiana, and her Puerto Rican father, Richard. Kiara fell in love with dance and musical theater at a very young age. She began her creative endeavors as a competitive dancer, training in various styles and performing leading roles in local theater productions. At the age of 15, Kiara was accepted into the Jazz and Contemporary Trainee Program at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City.
