Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for July 2015 is Kayla Rae Reid. The Virginia-born model moved to Palm Springs, CA when she was 10. Kayla pursued cheer leading until college, where she then set her sights on a career in the spotlight. She eventually joined the Monster Energy family as a Monster Girl, where she tours the motor sports circuit, and has a lot of fun doing it.

Although the determined Playmate would pose for any month of the year, July has a special significance for Kayla. “July is my birth month, so from the beginning I prayed to be Miss July. This is huge for me,” Reid tells Playboy. The perpetually positive model hopes being a Playmate will lead to bigger and better things. She dream is to launch her own TV career. “I always want to be the best version of myself. A part of that is people know me not only as a Playmate but as an intellectual, determined, driven woman,” she says. “As I say, if you dream it, you have it. Right now, I feel like I can do anything.”

She also knows how to enjoy the heat: you can expect to see her sipping tequila on the rocks at Miami’s music festivals. “Call me the sunshine chick,” she says. “I love the humidity, the heat. I can lie in the sun forever.” She says the weather often affects her mood, which is why she always tries to chase the sun.

Kayla can drive a stick shift and her guilty pleasures include nut butters and dorky documentaries. She says she finds mystery to be the most important part about sex. She says, “I love finding out who a man is–and who I am–when the drinks kick in and the lights go out.”

She hopes to take her family on an overseas vacation, hopefully with the money she earns if she becomes Playmate of the Year. We think she’s definitely got a great shot. ... (more)
