It was no surprise that he followed in his father Norman's footsteps, and began performing stunts at only five years old. Howell appeared in Dances With Wolves, Wyatt Erp, and Live Wire with Pierce Bronson, and quickly made a name for himself as a talented, young stuntman.Despite his achievements in the stunt world, Kanin Howell also had a passion for acting. Closely working with renowned acting coach Dee Wallace Stone, Howell was able to hone his acting skills and soon nabbed a role in Secondhand Lions with Michael Caine and Robert Duvall. He has since had the privilege of working alongside other Hollywood heavyweights including Kevin Bacon, Dennis Hopper, Kyra Sedgwick, and Christian Slater, among others. On the small screen, Kanin Howell has appeared in some of television's most popular drama series, including Southland, CSI:NY, Sons of Anarchy, and Criminal Minds. In addition, he has had recurring roles on HBO's groundbreaking series True Blood, and Young and the Restless. Howell resides in Los Angeles where he focuses on his career. In 2011, Howell established Reading in the Dark Productions, further immersing himself in every dimension of the industry.
