Description: This Toronto-born actor (the son of one-time Toronto Mayor David Crombie) is best remembered for portraying Gilbert Blythe in the Kevin Sullivan miniseries "Anne Of Green Gables" (1985), "Anne Of Avonlea" aka "Anne Of Green Gables: The Sequel" (1987) and "Anne Of Green Gables: The Continuing Story" (2000). Crombie had numerous roles on television and theatre in both Canada and the US. Tragically, the actor suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage in New York City on April 15, 2015. He was just 48 years old.
