Description:
This Toronto-born actor (the son of one-time Toronto Mayor David Crombie) is best remembered for portraying Gilbert Blythe in the Kevin Sullivan miniseries "Anne Of Green Gables" (1985), "Anne Of Avonlea" aka "Anne Of Green Gables: The Sequel" (1987) and "Anne Of Green Gables: The Continuing Story" (2000). Crombie had numerous roles on television and theatre in both Canada and the US. Tragically, the actor suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage in New York City on April 15, 2015. He was just 48 years old.
His legacy lives on and surely he will always be Gilbert Blythe in the hearts and mind
