Born in The Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey, he grew up in the small town of River Vale. He graduated from Pascack Valley Regional High School and attended Bergen Community College in Paramus New Jersey. In the early 80s he started performing in local theater, then brought his talents to the Off-Broadway stage. By the mid 80s he did the soap opera circuit scene and was cast in a few supporting movie roles; such as Tommy in "Sea Of Love" opposite Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin. In 1990 he moved to California in pursuit of his acting career, where he was cast in the role of Eddie in a pilot for a TV series called,
