Description: Joe Nicolosi is an Austin-based filmmaker and multi-year alumni of SXSW for his film bumpers and short films. In 2009 he won the ‘George Lucas Award’ for his short film “Star Wars: Retold” and was named one of the ’25 Faces of Independent Film’ in 2011. Joe was born and raised in New York where he also attended college upstate, studying Film, Theater and Writing. After college, Joe felt particularly inspired by the film ‘Road Trip’ and relocated from Ithaca to Austin to continue pursuing filmmaking and animation.
