Description:
A German actress, best known for her work on films I Was Nineteen (1968), Peas at 5:30 (2004) and her recurring role on the show Polizeiruf 110. She won an Ernst Zinna Prize of the city of Berlin in 1974.
Gröllmann was born in Hamburg, the daughter of Gertrud, a theater photographer and Otto, stage designer. She is the mother of actress Anna Maria Mühe. She was married to actor Ulrich Mühe from 1984-1990. He accused her in a book (which she was successful in having legally blocked) of being an unofficial collaborator, or informant, for the Stasi government of East Germany.
Gröllmann died of breast cancer on 6 August 20
