Iván Cepeda Castro (Bogotá, Colombia, 1962) is a Colombian philosopher, human rights defender, and politician. He studied philosophy at the Sofia University in Bulgaria and earned a master's degree in Law from the Universidad de los Andes. The son of assassinated Patriotic Union (UP) leader Manuel Cepeda Vargas, he spent years as a prominent human rights activist and led the Movement of Victims of State Violence (MOVICE). In politics, he was elected to the Chamber of Representatives (2010–2014) and has served as a Senator since 2014 representing the Pacto Histórico and Polo Democrático Alternativo platforms.
