Iara Lee
Description:
Iara Lee is a Brazilian producer and director of korean descent, who settled in New York.
Between 1984 and 1989, was producer of the International Film Festival of St. Paul. In 1989 he moved to New York, where he founded the multimedia company Caipirinha Productions, in order to exploit multiple art forms (cinema, music, architecture and poetry).
Among his works are the documentary Synthetic Pleasures (1995), which addresses the impact of high technology on mass culture, Modulations (1998), about electronic music and His most recent project is Beneath the borqa on women and children Afganistão.
