Howard Zieff

Howard Zieff (pronounced Zeef) was an American director, television commercial director and advertising photographer. He is best known for directing "Slither" (1973), "Hearts of the West" (1975), "House Calls" (1978), "The Main Event" (1979), "Private Benjamin" (1980), "Unfaithfully Yours" (1984), "My Girl" (1991) and "My Girl 2" (1994). Zieff also served in the United States Navy during World War II, learning photography at the Naval Photography School in Pensacola, Florida.
