Hedley is a Canadian pop rock band comprising lead singer Jacob Hoggard, (who was placed 3rd because he ask the fans to vote him off the show during the second season of the reality TV series Canadian Idol in 2004), Tommy Mac on bass, Dave Rosin on guitar and Chris Crippin on drums.

There are also rumors that the name "Hedley" originated from Hedley Street in Abbotsford, the hometown of Jacob Hoggard. Hedley performed their hit song "Cha Ching" at the closing ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Their debut single "On My Own" reached number 1 on the Canadian Singles Chart and the follow-up "Trip" peaked at number 11. The singles "On My Own", "321", "Trip", and "Gunnin" topped the MuchMusic Countdown. Their last single, "Street Fight", off of their self-titled debut album was successful on both the MuchMusic Countdown and the Canadian Singles Chart. Their first single from their album Famous Last Words, "She's So Sorry", achieved success on the MuchMusic Countdown. They have toured with Simple Plan, Faber Drive, MxPx, Nickelback and Bon Jovi.
In the summer of 2006, they signed a record deal with Capitol Records in the United States where they completed a tour opening for Yellowcard. Hedley released their second album, Famous Last Words, on October 30, 2007. It went platinum ten days after release. The first single from the CD, "She's So Sorry", was released to radio on August 21, 2007. The video was shot in Toronto, Ontario, and premiered on MuchMusic on September 20, 2007.
An American compilation of singles was released in the US by Universal Music on May 19, 2009 entitled Never Too Late.
On November 17, 2009, Hedley released their third studio album The Show Must Go. The first single "Cha-Ching" peaked at number 6 in the Canadian Hot 100. The second single, Don't Talk To Strangers peaked at number 11 on the Canadian Hot 100, and at number 1 on the Much Music Countdown. The third single "Perfect" peaked at number 7 on the Canadian Hot 100, and also peaked at number one on the Much Music Countdown. The fourth single off the album was "Hands Up".
Hedley recently finished their most current tour across Canada in support of their new album The Show Must Go which was released November 17, 2009. On November 16, 2009, Chart Attack reported, "Fefe Dobson and Stereos will be along for the whole trek, while Faber Drive and Boys Like Girls will support on select dates." A live album entitled "Go With The Show" was recorded during this tour.
In 2010 the band signed an American record deal with Island Records. The album was originally to be released in the US on October 12, but instead was released on December 7, 2010. The band also toured the US promoting the album, the album was available on the tour containing the bonus tracks "I Do (Wanna Love You)" and "Color Outside The Lines."
"Perfect" is their first single to chart in the US, peaking at #25 on the Billboard Adult Pop Songs Chart.
On May 5, 2011, they confirmed that they were back in the studio to record a new album. The first confirmed single, "Invincible", was released on iTunes (Canada) on August 23, 2011. The single has yet to be released on iTunes (U.S.).
