Harry Harrison was an American science fiction author, known mostly for his character The Stainless Steel Rat and for the 1966 novel "Make Room! Make Room!". The latter was the rough basis for the motion picture "Soylent Green" (1973). Harrison also served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.
