Description: Hana Mayeda is a high fashion model who has worked with some of the world's top brands including Laura Mercier, Sephora, Victoria's Secret and H&M. Her work has appeared in publications both domestic and overseas in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Marie-Claire, Allure, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and many others. Hana Mayeda was born and raised in Southern California. Her father, Tadashi, was second-generation Japanese-American. Her mother, Heather, is of English, Scots and German decent. A ballet dancer from a young age, Hana dreamed of dancing professionally. Her dream evolved into a curiosity of the world of fashion. Hana Mayeda was born and raised in Southern California. Her father, Tadashi, was second-generation Japanese-American. Her mother, Heather, is of English, Scots and German decent.

A ballet dancer from a young age, Hana dreamed of dancing professionally. Her dream evolved into a curiosity of the world of fashion. She was “discovered” in high school by Abercrombie and Fitch videographer, John Urbano, and was exposed to the world of modeling through shoots for A&F. Hana then traveled to Berlin, where she was presented with the opportunity to model and live in Europe, where her 13 years of classical ballet training undoubtedly translated into a love for movement in front of the camera.

Upon her return home, the self proclaimed “California girl” signed with NEXT model management. While modeling in LA she was swept up yet again, scouted by Arri Taylor and brought to New York to sign with the highly esteemed Marilyn Agency. She continues to have a highly successful career under the guidance of the team at Marilyn and is currently represented on the west coast by Vision models.

Hana has taken every opportunity that modeling has given her, working arduously on every set. Her ambition and desire to succeed have been accentuated by her studies of nutrition at the Integrative Institute of Nutrition and her love of yoga. She is a certified yoga instructor who channels her positivity towards others as she teaches and is inspired by her students.

Hana has chosen to use her experiences as a model and yoga instructor to launch a new initiative designed to help empower young girls and give them a sense of self-confidence. Her ability to identify with these girls propels her toward a life of teaching our future women about kindness towards others, and most importantly, kindness and love towards themselves.

She is currently based in NYC where she lives with her Bichon Frise, Rylie.
