People I find Inspiring (93 person items)

"Günter Grass was the earliest authors I fell in love with. His style of writing is anything between surrealism and magical realism to a post-modern whirlwind of words and meanings. His latter novels are insane and chaotic, but extremely satisfying if you manage to read them through, many of them are nearly impossible to translate accurately so some of them are barely readable in any other language than German. I can't think of another as creative and unique author as Grass."

Favourite Authors (15 person items)

"The master of absurdism and surrealism. Even his debut novel blew my mind as a teen. Grass was a true intellectual, but with an imagination of a little child."
