Did This Happen to Anyone Else?

So forgive me for being a lil' 'miffed' about this. REALLY don't wanna make this a big deal. But just imagine if you will, coming back from the Blip, after Listal staff managed to get all the Infinity Stones back and we're back online after the site's been down for the past few days. Don't get me wrong, glad to see one of my fav websites is back up and running...
But I don't know if this happened to anyone else but here I've been working on one of my longest, most 'main' lists for the past couple weeks, doing some major changes and adjustments and uploading stuff to it, trying to clean it up a lil'... And it's like all that past couple weeks of work got ERASED. Gone. All the changes reverted back to the way my list looks BEFORE two weeks ago. Huh?
Did anyone else experience this with any of their lists? ...Or did I just offend the Gods of the internet in some way I'm not aware of?
********
Again, nothing of irreplaceable importance lost. I could just easily redo all those updates again. Just a minor annoyance, a real blow to wake up to Wed. morning :-(
(Still, I'm glad Listal is back up :-))

@ToonHead2102
"Alert: Due to a server failure Listal had to be restored from an older backup. Unfortuantly attempts over the past 2 days to restore from a recent backup have failed and it was necessary to restore from August 16th. Apologies for the lost data and time. The website has been move to a better infrastructure to ensure better stability in the future."
You're not alone. I'm so freaking sad because I've uploaded so many photos and created so many profiles and now I have to do it all over. This sucks, honestly.

4 1/2 weeks worth of our unpaid contributions to this website gone. we do it for fun & our passion(s) not a thank you but we do essentially work here for free. I've been on listal longer than I've had a facebook page but this now makes it a lot harder to want to dive back in & start going back to work. the site has crashed plenty of times in the past but never like this current time machine loss. really kind of extinguishes the fire in me to even want to jump back in right away to re-rate, re-tag, re-upload & remember everything from at least the past month. defites the purpose, listal was/is my way of remembering, an easier way to keep track. this is better than nothing but knowing another 4 weeks worth of time put in can be swiped away so swiftly has me real damn hesitant to bother trying to reestablish where I was again. first world problems yeah but I clearly have no life outside of watching movies alone.

I kind of already figured the explanation would be something like what was described in that alert. Just milling it over in my mind it kind of seemed like the logical conclusion but def acts as a comfort and relief to get some sort of confirmation, also very informative info.
And to make clear, not bashing the moderators in any way, at least not in an unreasonable way. I'm sure it can't be easy to maintain this site and deal with all the 'bug' issues that arise from time to time. I've certainly noticed a few of those over the years... I was just wondering if this was happening to anyone else? I was excited when things came back on but then got left with the "what the-?" feeling. It's kind of like that feeling of when your computer crashes while working on an unsaved document, or the power goes out. I've had a few of those before.
Nothing that can't be replaced I suppose but that was one of my first concerns as well, whether or not this might happen again if I start over? Hope not.

here's a weird one - i made a report a few weeks ago that some of the photos on the page Eva Navarro (www.listal.com/eva-navarro @evvnavarro) were actually of Eva Marie Navarro (www.listal.com/eva-marie-navarro @evanavarro_). this issue was fixed, and now the fix has been undone. the reports seem to still be there though.

@anon6: go back to your homepage. There's a message, presumably from Tom, that everything was rolled back to August 16th.

It would be a good Idea to make more Backups ( if this is not too much Work )

I got lucky, haven't posted or voted much the last 30 days. Happy to see Listal back, I thought for sure it went down for good. Definitely sucks for the bigger accounts, hopefully they come back.

@TrekMedic: i know, i was just bringing attention to the fact that previously fulfilled reports have also been undone
