not a moderator

somebody messaged me asking if I would consider reducing their ban on posting photos. I've never been a moderator or had any power on the site beyond my own account. what's that mean that the person is messaging me? did my account message them? sorry for acting muddy & asking questions.

In the past it would say on user's profiles who was a moderator, going back a few years. Possibly somebody got confused and thought you were a mod? It is pretty hard to work out since they took away that feature.
