Description:
George has been a media stalwart throughout his career of 40 years. Beginning in radio, he soon progressed to anchor the first critically acclaimed SBS World News, for eight and a half years. In 1988 George moved to the Nine Network (Australia) where amongst his achievements, he featured on; Today, Wide World of Sports, National Nine Morning News and Coast to Coast.
In 1991, George joined Network Ten in Adelaide for Ten News, he anchored Ten News at Five (Adelaide) from 1992-2010. In 2011, George hosted Ten News at Five (Melbourne) until September of that year.
