His hit songs in Finland were "Saarenmaan valssi", "Rakastan sinua, elämä", "Metsäkukkia" ja "Moskovan valot".
His biopic Georg (2007) was the first Estonian-Russian-Finnish co-production.
Starred in the first colored Estonian film, Valgus Koordis (1951) in 1951.
