Gemma McCluskie

McCluskie went missing from her Bethnal Green, east London home on the 1 March 2012. Former EastEnders actresses Martine McCutcheon and Brooke Kinsella tweeted about her disappearance in hope of getting information about her whereabouts. The actress Natalie Cassidy also raised awareness of her disappearance. The headless and limbless torso of a woman was recovered from Regent's Canal near Broadway Market in Hackney, east London on 6 March 2012 and was later confirmed to be the body of McCluskie. On 10 September 2012, her head was found in the same stretch of canal. Her brother, Tony McCluskie, was found guilty of her murder.
