Gary Alexis Medel Soto (Spanish pronunciation: is a Chilean professional footballer who plays for Italian club Internazionale as a defensive midfielder, although he can also play as a defender. He is nicknamed as the "Chilean Pitbull".
A full international with over 80 caps since 2007 for the Chilean national team, he has represented the nation at two FIFA World Cups and as many Copa América tournaments, winning the 2015 Copa América while being named in the Team of the tournament.
