It's almost stunning to see WipEout Pure being a launch title for the PSP, because it holds its own very well even comparing to other games released later. It's WipEout on the go with a decent amount of stages and vehicles to choose from. But what WipEout surprisingly excels at is the amount of DLC, which puts many games to shame. Description: Racing games have never really worked on a portable before, but now with the PSP you can’t move for top quality driving games. WipeEout Pure jostles with Namco’s Ridge Racer as not just the best racer but the best overall game on the PSP. The fact that at the same time it also rescues the WipEout series from the doldrums that WipEout Fusion on the PS2 left it in is just another testament to the game’s quality. It's WipEout on the go with a decent amount of stages and vehicles to choose from. But what WipEout surprisingly excels at is the amount of DLC, which puts many games to shame. A total of 16 tracks are added to the game, which doubles or possibly even triples gameplay time. It's easily accessable with multiple difficulties, and I truly felt like I got better at the game the more I played. That's the best feeling I could wish for in any video game, and WipEout Pure handles that pretty well. Getting used to each craft takes some time because it requires mastery of drifting, but the easier difficulties carry you into that feeling eventuall” read more

Ranking all my PSP games (18 games items)

"Positives: - Great quality for a launch title. - A true feeling of getting better the more you play. - Excellent use of DLC. Negatives: - Zone mode is good, but far too short. - Unlockables are split unevenly over the course of the game."
