WCW vs. The World - PlayStation

WCW vs. the World takes on the wrestling genre, but with an interesting twist. The game is less about official licenses, and more about the large numbers of wrestlers, moves, and options. Only nine actual WCW (World Championship Wrestling) wrestlers are in the game, with the emphasis drawing from six wrestling federations from around the world.

The gameplay is rewarding, but requires effort. Individual matches last rather long, so you won't see many 30-second bouts. It's not the best wrestling game available, but the many options (including the cool "create a belt" feature) and sheer number of wrestlers make up for its shortcomings. --Sajed Ahmed
