Description:
Warrock features several maps, several vehicles and aircrafts, and over 25 different weapons. The player has the choice of playing on the NIU team or the Derbaran team. The player has the choice of a number of classes, with each class having a different weapon set, and ostensibly different role and tactics. The game also features a ranking system. They also have an in-game Item Shop where the player can 'purchase' more powerful weapons using e-dinar you earn by playing the game. Some weapons can only be bought if the player uses real money to pay for a 5th weapons slot. The player can also use real money to pay for other benefit

In order to combat growing levels of cheating in the international version, the game now uses the PunkBuster. The Korean version uses GuardCAT. So far people have been able to make bypasses for GuardCAT effortlessly, yet there has been no proof of a hacker in the International version since the release of PunkBuster in the game. However, it can be difficult to tell a hacker from a legitimate player. Developers and players with special accounts have access to extra weapons and items. Also, WarRock contains many bugs, glitches, and exploits, the abuse of which is definitely cheating, but not necessarily hacking. A check of the official forums at any time reveals dozens and dozens of reported hackers, but it is unknown how many of these are actually valid.
Previous versions of WarRock had rather severe security issues. They were extremely vulnerable to hacking through the simple use of a packet editor, not to mention the 2-3 available "trainers."
WarRock players can pick from five basic classes:
* Military Engineers: Military Engineers's standard equipment is a Colt 45, MP5 and Spanner. Upgraded primary weapons include a P90 Customizzato, Uzi, and a G36C. Their primary function is to repair and maintain vehicles. They are of no use in Mission Mode because they carry the same weapons as a medic but medics have the ability to heal other players and themselves.
* Medics: Medics' standard equipment is with a Colt 45, MP5 and Medic Kit. Upgraded primary weapons include a P90, Uzi, and a G36C. Their primary function is to provide medical aid as needed. The Medic's ability to heal is somewhat limited in that the damage is repaired incrementally. and severe damage requires multiple treatments. Furthermore, the MediKit must recharge between healings. They have, however, advantages over the Combatant due to their ability to heal themselves. A medic can heal herself after each encounter with the enemy (and sometimes during combat) to outlast other character classes.
* Scouts: Scouts are basically snipers. They usually use sniper rifles.Scouts are standard equipment with a Colt 45, M24 and K400 Grenades. Upgraded primary weapons include a PSG1, Steyr AUG, and a Steyr SSG. Their primary function is to provide information on enemy units and long distance cover fire.
* Combatants: Combatants' standard equipment is a Colt 45, K2 and K400 Grenade. Upgraded primary weapons include an M4A1, G36, and an AK-47. Their primary function is to provide close range combat and support for other branches. Combatants are the main ground force and are usually followed by medics.
* Heavy Weapons Units: Heavy Weapons Units' or (HWU) standard equipment is a Colt 45, Panzerfaust 3 and TMA-1A Landmine. Upgraded primary weapons include a RPG-7 and a FIM-92. Their primary function is to immobilize enemy vehicles and armor. They are useless in Mission Mode unless they are equipped with the RPG-7. If shot correctly this weapon can do one-hit kills.
Note: Vehicles are not found in mission maps, and the Harbor map.
* K1A1 Heavy Tank - The driver utilizes a 120mm cannon for anti-vehicle roles and a 50cal machine gun mounted with the cannon turret. The two secondary position controls an M60 machine gun and M2 .50 machine gun, but leaves the user exposed. The tank has high defense and requires multiple RPG rounds to be subdued. Found in Ohara and Havana.
* Wiesel 1 Light Tank - Found in Emblem. These tanks are small but they also decide outcomes.
* CR125 - Motorbike (unarmed). Used for quick and agile transport but leaves the rider unprotected. Found in most medium and large maps.
* Humvee - The all-purpose vehicle. This vehicle is useful for a number of things including swift killing, reconnaissance, and simple transportation. Their guns are very versatile with their unlimited ammo and a faster fire rate than tanks. The gunner position leaves the user unprotected, even more so if the vehicle is stationary. Found in all maps. It sports either an anti-air missile launcher with a 50. cal machine gun, a TOW missile launcher, or a 50. cal.
* Truck 60 - An unarmed vehicle. This vehicle is highly subceptible to enemy fire and it has very weak defenses. Found in Ohara.
* Fixed M2 .50 Machine Gun - Uses the vehicle command to use. The M2 has a fast rate of fire useful for providing suppression fire. Use of the M2 leaves the user immobile and extremely vulnerable. Found in most medium and large maps.
* AMX Leclerc - Found only in Cantumira currently, the tank features a remote-controlled .50 machine gun and a 120mm cannon.
Modes
Warrock has a variety of different modes and will be adding more in the near future.
[edit]
Mission Mode
Mission mode is a mode in Warrock where you have one life and you must complete an objective to win the match. So far the only gamemode in this mode is explosive. You either destroy all of your enemies to win or if you are on the Debaran team you can plant a bomb at a bombsite and make sure it goes off and you win. If you are on the NIU team you have to defuse the bomb in order to win if a bomb has been planted. This mode is very similar to Counter-Strike's de_ maps.
[edit]
Infantry Combat
Infantry combat maps are medium sized maps with only ground assault vehicles. Mostly, they are armored cars with machine guns, as well as trucks and motorcycles, but in some of the maps there are tanks. Infantry combat often features buildings or obstacles that hamper the line of fire. Players can move around with vehicles or on foot with no difficulty.
[edit]
Vehicle
Vehicle combat maps are usually large maps with many vehicles. Although you may fight on foot it is not advised as distance between camps can be quite far. Game ends when your opponents counter reaches zero.

Maps
These are currently the maps available to be played upon in the International Warrock. There are currently 8 maps in total.
[edit]
Small Maps
* Marien
o Marien is an urban map based in what looks like a broken down city. There aren't many places to hide so it is a good idea to stay as a group so you can watch each other's backs. Their are two main sniping spots that sit on top of high ledges, one at each side of the base. Conflict mostly happens in the Marien building and it is a good idea not to just rush in there because grenades are usually constantly being thrown back and forth between the two teams. The bomb can be placed in either a destroyed building or a small little building that is about half destroyed. The map provides scarce cover from snipers. The are most commonly found on the second floor of the demolished builing next to the Derbaran base or the high ledge with a few crates at the NIU base.
* Velruf
o Velruf is another urban map based in a recreational city. Snipers frequent the "sniping pit", the dirt covered ground at the bottom of the Debarban base. People on the NIU team can easily move around in this map but the Debarban team is somewhat restricted in the beginning due to how the map is laid out. The bomb can either be placed in a small brick area which doesn't have much cover from forward attacks, or a back alley intesection which has a few barrels and whatnot to hide from. There has been a known bug which people can hide in the wall. It is also dangerous leaving the Derbaran base because how it is rushed very quickly from grenades and troops.
* Cadoro
o Cadoro in a desert-town like map with the NIU spawning in a small camp with a small wall which seems to have ben hit with an explosive. That wall is a good spot to defend the base from. There is a central building which most of the firefights happen. more often at the front then back. Watch your back because lots of grenades get chucked inside. The bomb can either be placed in the central building or the NIU base.
[edit]
Medium Maps
* Ravello
o Ravello is an urban map. The map features a church, many cramped alleyways, and underground tunnels which connect several parts of the map. Scouts like to frequent the church and snipe from the belltower. Any team that has the church base secured has a probable chance of winning.
* Montana
o Montana is another urban map similar to Ravello. It is a very small map optimized for small urban conflict. The map has only one point of contention: a power substation located in the center of the map. The map also features multiple buildings and rooftops overlooking the center area providing viewpoints for snipers and suppression gunners.
* Harbor IDA
o Harbor IDA is another urban map similar to Ravello and Montana. This map takes place in the evening and can be pretty tough to get oriented. The map has two buildings connected by a covered passage three stories up. The central building offer many areas for sniping, while the ground has an assortment of cargo containers to provide cover. Heavy weapons units are not needed in this map because there are no vehicles in the map.
* Emblem
o Emblem is a mix of urban warfare and open space. Light tanks (like the Wiesel 1), humvees, and motorbikes are found within the map. The map has one large hanger building in the central area, with two smaller building on either side connected to the hanger by a catwalk in the second story. Snipers frequent the hilltops near the bases and the rooftop of the central neutral base. The rooftops of the buildings and the FixedCal50 operators are an easy target for scouts.
* Cantumira
o Cantumira is a rectangular kind of map. It features some water, a main street, lots of hidden spots in the street, and some desert beyond its wall. It has Black Hawks, the Lynx Amphibious Vehicle, And the K1A1 and the Lecrec Tank, not to mention a small, Little Bird kind of Helicopter. The main focus of the map is the main street, as it strecthes down, or up, depending on how you see it. Also, the Street splits off into two, one going down in elevation, beneath a small platform holding a ruined Black Hawk, and the other continuously moving on.
[edit]
Large Maps
* Ohara
o Ohara is a desert map. There are 3 neutral bases each near the middle, but more toward the yellow team's base. It is highly recommended that players grab as many tanks as possible as they can literally destroy the opposing army. Despite its desertlike and open landscape, there are some very good spots for scouters to occupy and can snipe with almost little or no effort. It can get VERY hectic in this map and where most of the in-game disconnections and "bad network condition" notices will pop up.
* Havana
o Havana is the larger version of the smaller maps Montana, Ravello, and Harbor IDA. Like Ohara it can get VERY hectic within in the game because of the amount of users. K1A1 Tanks and Humvees are available in this map and should be used during the game. This map is best suited for mechanics, medics, and combatants although scouts can get by in this map by occupying the clock tower.
* Engrene
o Engrene is the largest map in International Warrock as of now. It features two small airports for both teams, each featuring 2 A-10 Warthog's. There are a great number of tanks, Gepard's, humvee's, trucks, and helicopters. there are also many fixed Anti-Aircraft guns at the arports and around the perimeter bases of the map. The only way scouts can be useful here is if they manage to sneak into the enemy's airport and snipe from the control tower. Engrene, because of its size, usually does not have much intensity in all of the map, as compared to the other smaller maps. However, the advanced vehicles in the map make up for this. Engrene is notorious for its "bad network condition" towards the middle of the map, especially when jets are dueling it out there.

Reception
The game is a class-based, vehicular first-person shooter in the vein of the Electronic Arts Battlefield franchise. WarRock is most often compared to Battlefield 2 and Counter-Strike because of its ranking system as well as the ability to purchase weapon upgrades, using in-game cash earned while playing. ...
