SideWinder Force Feedback Wheel - PC Games

Their Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel is a classic example, it's a hugely robust item that clamps firmly onto the desk with a huge plastic grip handle which ensures it's not going anywhere--no matter how hard you slam it around.

The wheel comes in two pieces: the main unit and separate pedals moulded from metal and plastic that feel comfortable under the feet and do a great job of servicing all your acceleration and braking needs.

The main wheel is an eight-button affair, six main buttons on the centre of the wheel and two round the back to simulate the whole Formula One semi-automatic shifting thing. A ninth button sits squarely in the middle of the wheel and operates the force feedback, programmable resistance which can be set through the supplied Sidewinder control software. In operation this allows the user to create a variety of different playing conditions, from arcade style to "real world"--and in real world with GP3 or Midtown Madness this wheel can really turn on the power!

All-in-all, this is a superb piece of kit. The addition of the USB connector rather than the old-style joy-port adapter makes it a dream to install and its solid build and reliable operation all add up to a quality package. Highly recommended. --James Gordon
