The story begins when you find yourself en route to Africa for a contract job but find things haven't gone as planned...

Two days into battle, both sides have suffered staggering casualties and your team is forced to retreat. Almost entirely decimated, the remaining Granite troops wait to be extracted: Your deployment is unauthorized and illegal. All knowledge of your presence will be denied. Your unit has been defunded.

Taking command of what remains of your unit, you vow to take revenge on your treacherous employer. The Shadow Company is born, made up of an elite group of mercenaries who have been left for dead.
