Rat Attack - PlayStation

The basic rat-catching technique consists of stretching an energy lasso (called an "eraticator") around a pest without running into it, then hopping onto a pad that destroys your catch. Cats can also use their claws to stun rats, or you can catch the rodents by using household items, such as a vacuum cleaner. Each level has a time limit, which contributes to the frantic pace of the game. While this game probably won't win any industry awards, it is a fresh and stylish alternative to the usual gaming fare. --Jeff Young

The animation is a bit jerky, which can make it hard to tell what is happening onscreen The game clock doesn't offer enough time to explore the 1-room levels
