MTV Sports: Skateboarding - Game Boy Color

Gameplay here is straightforward: you're one of four skaters (real-life pro Andy Macdonald, or virtual skaters from Germany, Japan and Britain; for some reason, Brit Harry is the only one wearing shorts and he looks downright silly) and you compete on either an American, European or World tour. Each tour presents you with a variety of challenges, asking you to become proficient at the various jumps, grinds and tricks available--but the greatest challenge of all may be just learning to steer the skater with any accuracy.

Anyone with a subscription to Thrasher magazine will likely appreciate the attention to detail here--from the name brand t-shirts and various makes of board available, to the feel of landing a trick--but outsiders may find themselves at a loss. --Randy Silver
