Hansa Teutonica will be another take on the Hanseatic League, a loose network of cities and guilds that traded amongst themselves from the 13th to the 17th centuries, which has previously been ludically transformed in games like Michael Schacht's Hansa and Uwe Rosenberg's BohnHansa [AKA Bean Trader]. In Hansa Teutonica, players are merchants in the League who are trying to increase their reputation, either by being represented in cities, building a network that connects cities, collecting bonus markers, or having other traders use your holdings. As players improve their traders, they can benefit in different ways: earning the right to take more actions, earning more money, taking a larger share of the prestige points, and so on. These values are tracked on a player's personal desk, with the higher values in each area being revealed as the improvements are made. The gameboard is double-sided, with one side for 2-3 players and the other for 4-5.
