Dogfighter : Airfix Dogfighter is probably the best game I have played. The scenarios are a great first course to the joys of multiplayer.
The game runs on pretty much any system while the mutliplayer works great over even a dialup connection (providing the level that's being played isn't too big or overly stuffed with furniture).
